I have measured the output resistance of  the harp of two Rhodes. In both cases the reading was 1500 Ohms. The manual says that it should be 2500 Ohms.

Has someone more tried this?
I am curious and a bit disconcerted on this topic

I just tried mine I got 1500 ohms.

From the diagram 10-4, it looks like 24 elements in series, each of which is 3 pickups in parallel (except one that's 4).

If we take the single pickup to be 180 ohms (based on Steve's pickup maintenance tech note), then each parallel group of 3 should give us a 60 ohm resistance, and 24 of those in series gives about 1440 ohms, which is a lot closer to what we are measuring, amigo.

I see nothing to worry about.

Thanks Rob A :D

Your response has been very logical and forceful. Probably the early pickups would give the reading of 2500 Ohms?
