I am looking at the possible purchase of a Wurlitzer 700. It is black, everything works, new felts and in tune. Asking price is $550. Is this priced about right? Thanks.

I'd be happy to pay that price for one.

If you're satisfied with the way it plays and the current tuning it's a pretty good deal. The 700/120 takes 50-100% longer to service than a 140 or 200 family Wurlitzers.

What new felts does it have?

The 700 has a great sound, but the action is not the best. Still, I would get it if I were you. I bought my first 700 back in the '70's. still have it. No, it's not for sale though!

I didn't have the money at the time to get the Wurlitzer as I was about to leave home for a month to rehearse and tour Europe. After I came home the price had dropped. Still no money or at least not enough to buy something I really didn't need. Today the price dropped again and I am having it delivered for $300! Stoked! I will post some pictures after it arrives.
