Kustom 88 Electric Piano by Baldwin. 2 available.
Road Case is about 53 x 25 x 11 inches. Weight is about 110 pounds.

Not tested, but keyboards appear to be complete. Both include road case/cover.
One seems to be missing legs, but could easily be fabbed from some angle.

Asking $100 each

Doesn't the cover become the stand on these?

Yes the cover forms part of the stand - but you also need the legs.  I used to own one.

Never heard of these. Are they reed or tine based?  Or strings like a cp70? They look cool but too costly to ship to my country :-(

Neither. They are pre digital, totally electronic pianos and sound a tiny bit like a Wurlitzer or Rhodes. I've been trying to think of a recording that used one, but I can't remember any-anyone out there know of any?

I will be selling one of these for my friends' widow in a few months. I don't have access to it right now to make a recording.

Thanks Steveo. I'm very curious; the only vid I just found gave me the impression of a fully acoustic piano like inside that was somehow amplified (with the help of pickups?)

No, this keyboard sounds nothing like an acoustic piano. Baldwin did make a different piano called the electro piano that did have strings.

* Please note * I just found a clip of one of these. When you play notes individually, they sound more like an acoustic piano than I remembered. When you play a song, they sound more like an electric piano than an amplified acoustic.

Thanks Steveo. I found some other videos of this odd piano. In the bass it sounds more like an acoustic piano and the rest of the keyboard is undefined. How does the inside of this keyboard work? Or is it some sort of FM piano like the early Yamaha keyboards. There is only little info to be found on the internet.

It's been a while since I saw the inside of my friend's, but I do remember each key has a contact switch on the back, similar yet different from an organ but with wooden keys. I think it's an FM keyboard. I will know more soon when I prepare my friend's for sale. I don't have any way to post pictures here but I will take pictures when I clean it up. The only thing I remember it needing is the output Jack needs to be replaced.

I think it's a similar sound to the old RMIs and Gulbransens piano setting, but I am relying on old memories. This keyboard has no other sounds. It's heavy, so they don't fetch top dollar.

No it's not FM, it is additive.  I used to have the schematics, lot of CMOS under the hood.

Now you are getting into electronic lingo that is over my head. What does additive mean? Does it work more like a combo organ? Any pictures to share?
If I remember correctly, FM is basically one step below a digital piano? Works in a similar way except the sounds are manufactured instead of samples?
