Preferably a 64 key model but I may be interested in the 88. I live in central Virginia, but would be willing to drive a couple hours to pick up.

Anyone out there ever own one and have a review?

Thanks!

Never owned one, but I can tell you that tuning them is a pain, even for professional tuners. Also, they don't sound great, think of a Yamaha CP70. Very similar. I would take a good digital any day.

And heavy.  There's no way to reduce the weight of them because of their iron frame and the wood key action.  Yamaha had to split the CP-70 into two parts - frame and keyset/hammer - and each split was STILL heavy!

We gave one a full service overhaul last year for Jay Bennett's Pieholden Suite Sound... Definitely a fun rig but it's a serious beast to move around. As I recall we had four guys lifting it uncomfortably into the back of a van...

Tuning isn't necessarily difficult but they require more constant adjustments especially if you move them around frequently.
