Just picked up a '69 Fender Vibro Champ, and I gotta say it is a killer little amp to run my Wurlitzer (145b) through.  Nice tube breakup with the volume around 8, and not a ridiculous volumes.   Plus, the vibro champ can mimic (almost exactly!) the vib of the wurly, and is footswitchable so you can kick in while playing.

Would be a good choice if you have a non vib wurly (700/120).

Right!

I got hold of a non-working silverface unit last year. Had to replace the main fuse and the tubes and retrofitted it with a Jensen C8 – and after all that, I couldn't be happier with it. It just sounds so right.
Also, the Vibro Champ sounds great with the Fender Rhodes – although it's breaking up rather early – and the Nord Electro.

I had similar experiences with my Hot Rod Deluxe (equipped with a Jensen C12), a perfect match with the Wurlitzer.
Tuning instruments makes the band sound thin!

Andi,
Ever play it (or a Rhodes) through a Weber California or Chicago? I'm wondering how the C12 compares. My main concern is to have tight, articulate bass and no harshness in the high end. A little bit of speaker breakup would be nice as well.
Thanks.

Hi mate, I know this is a old post, but how did you connect your 145B to a Combo?
Thanks
