Hi guys,
I'm missing no.23 tine from my '67 sparkle top and i'm looking at what vintage vibe has as a replacement. They have some 1966 raymac bass tines. I'm thinking of buying no.21 tine and then cutting it to size (they don't have no.23). Are these bass tines compatible with my sparkle top? Does anyone know?
Cheers

Yes the same 60s tines were used on the 73-key model and the piano bass.  There were a couple iterations - ones without taper, ones with a slight taper.  The ones VV has pictured on their site appear to be ones with a slight taper, which should be a great match for your '67.

Thanks Ben. Yep ordered and on its way with the rest of the stuff i need to hopefully finish this restoration. There is definately some warpage in the frame so i'm not 100% sure this is all gonna work out. But i think all the hammers and dampers are still connecting with the appropriate tines so i've got all my fingers crossed (and some toes). With the tonebars so big its really hard to get a good view of whats actually going on with the hammers and dampers. Oh well whatever happens its been a joy to do, and i couldn't let this beauty go without trying..
Thanks again
