200A Sustain trouble with C#(29) reed

I am looking for tech advise from the knowledgeable veterans here.

I cannot seem to get the C#(29) reed to sustain for the 7 seconds or so that it should be. It seems to resonate something somewhere and die out after 3 seconds or so. I have tried what I think to be nearly everything.

For some background, I have voiced the rest of the 200A by adjusting strike line, let off, and pickup height etc. Really just following along with the manual.

I have replaced the reed with 2 new production reeds and still get the same result. I tried swapping the reed with Lower and higher notes from the 200A and they ring out as they should in the 29 position, so I do not believe anything is wrong with the mechanical setup.

It seems like there is something with the particular frequency that may be causing it to prematurely decay.

Let me know what you think, I would love to hear some ideas to try.
