Title: Colby Dobbs Band
Post by: coachdobbs on March 04, 2011, 06:48:12 AM
Fellas!

I dont know if this is the right place to post this, but I figured if it's not that someone will move it to the correct place haha.

We all love the Rhodes around here and I figured I would post a link to some of what my new band is working on. We recorded these three tunes in the fall and were in the midst of recording our first full-length album. Im doing all of the vocals and keyboards. Im playing my 78' Rhodes Stage on "Living Yours" running mono direct. On "Bourbon Street" I am running it stereo through a Boss CE-1 with the intensity at about 9:00. Both outputs are running into a BBE 482 Sonic Maximizer and then one input going into a Roland JC-120 and the other going directly into the board (which is an old CAD Maxcon from the late 70's/early 80's).

Check it out if you get a chance and let me know what you think!

Thanks,
Colby 'Coach' Dobbs

Really nice stuff Colby.  I think your sound is a perfect throwback to the late 70's era that your Rhodes came from, I love that mellow sound.  Well done, I look forward to hearing more in the future.
