Title: Janus Pre to Peterson Power supply?
Post by: sg13 on December 13, 2015, 10:22:55 PM
Hey Guys

I was wondering if there's a way to hook a Janus 5 pin preamp to a 4 pin peterson suitcase cab. I've looked around but I haven't found anything. I was wondering if a power up box and then running audio to the power supply would work? Any ideas?

There was a very rare Rhodes converter box that I've only seen one or two pictures of.  It basically had a 5pin cable to preamp, and 4pin cable to poweramp.  Here's one of the pictures below.  The main consideration is after you figure out powering the preamp, if you're going to have the audio signal return through the 4pin power amp cable, or via another method.

I actually figured out a weird way to do it but it works. I just bought a cae power supply and ran the two 1/4 outs to the ins on the power amp! A little more wiring but it works!
