Title: desperately seeking tech to sweeten a 200A
Post by: obie on January 18, 2019, 10:57:04 PM
I have been trying to "sweeten" my 200A.  I recently had it touched up by a professional tech with some new reeds and a Warnecke amp and new sustain pedal.  There's still a note (F4) that stands out and the last octave is too soft.  My tech is very good with electronics but didn't do any regulation or hammer voicing.  I want it to sound as good as if it were in a Nashville or Muscle Shoals recording studio.

If I have to box her up and ship to a tech, please recommend two or three (preferably in the Mid West or Southeast) that could comprehensively treat my baby.  Does Morlocks have a tech in Mississippi that could meet these standards?

In the midwest, Max Brink, at Chicago Electric Piano Co., would be a good choice.

Thanks! Will give Max due consideration.

Any closer suggestions?  I'm in NW Arkansas. Memphis? The Shoals?

Is Nashville within your driving range?  Murph Wanca of Nashville Pro Hammond can take care of your Wurli. He handles a variety of vintage keys needs for many top Nashville acts.  NashvilleProHammond.com.

Does Morelock's still exist?
