Buying / Rhodes MK5

Hi, I am looking for Rhodes MK5; I am in Taiwan and can arrange shipping to pick up the piano.

rhodes stage's output signal is kind weak; you need to plug it to a mic preamp or guitar/bass amp and from there to your DI and audio interface.Crank up only the gain/volume of audio interface or DAW without preamp the signal will introduce unwanted noise.

i think if you have time and truly believe that will not feel frustrated no matter what kind of problem you face during the restoring process, then it's ok to get one to restore, otherwise it's recommended to buy a restored and well service rhodes from a store. this will give you peace of mind and enjoy the instrument instead of getting headache. of course this has some cost which is higher price tag.

The Fender Rhodes Electric Piano / Re: Strymon Mobius

It's powerful but take some time to learn to settings; It has some background noise when plugged with rhodes. Not cheap. After owning it for couple months now I'd rather get cheaper pedals that are much easier to use (like zoom ms-70cdr)

1.have you tried to connect the 2 jacks of external amp located next to the power cable?
2.did you hear any sound from headphone jack?

Hi, there's a hum coming out from the headphone out of my suitcase cabinet, however, the speaker out is quite clean. What should I do to troubleshoot this problem ? Thanks.

Will this preamp be available to buy ? If so what would be the price range? Thanks

Hi, is there any way to replace the old hammer tips without actually taking the plastic hammers off the keybed? Thanks !

Hey Sean:

"Is your complaint about the bonk or click sound that the hammer makes when it contacts the tine?  (The top ten hammer tips are made of maple wood wrapped with shrinkwrap.  It takes those hard hammer tips to make those super-short tines ring.)"  => I believe it's this.

Hi, I had noisy clacking keys in higher register of on my 1980 M2 ; after installing the Vintage Vibe key pedestal felt, I thought the problem could be fixed, however the problem remains.....I tried to tighten and loosen the screws of tone bar, however it's still the same.
How could I fix the clacking keys issue? Many thanks

Hi, is there good Fender tube amp(s) for Rhodes stage which sounds great with plenty of control knobs and light in weight !? I know Twin Reverb is the standard amp for Rhodes stage but it's just too heavy.

BTW I have a Roland SA-300 PA and a Rhodes M2 stage; the piano doesn't sound as good as I expected through the PA

Does anyone know how to get this rich sound in the end of this video?
It seems like it's sort of stereo sound !?
