hey i was just wondering if other people have dealt with major keys.  i am kind of concerned because i placed an order for a sustain pedal and push rod
a couple days ago and they havent sent me anything back to confirm that they are sending it or what.  should i be worried yet? or do i need to give it more time? i figured since it was linked to the main site it would be a good site. any feed back would be nice

ps i am not writing them off just yet

i read a while back about a dude who restored a silver top in austin and that he did repairs on rhodes...i am kinda hoping he sees this
but does anyone know any other person/place that would help me setup my rhodes.

also i read a post a while back about a really cheap way to buy grommets.
does anyone have that link

thank you

being a poor college student who just wrecked his car i dont really have the money to buy one.
im really looking to make my own

does anyone have any information at all that could help?
has anyone else tried to do this?
any drawing or measurements i should take note?

thanks a lot

i remember reading something about this a while back but i cant seem to find the post again.

can someone explain these and possibly point me in the direction to buy some or see a picture of them.

ive noticed an increase in threads about what amps to use for their rhodes in the past month, so i thought it would be nice if we started one big thread and everyone could put in their two cents.
the question to answer of course is
what amp (from experience) would you suggest for the rhodes?
this is excluding the twin.
keep in mind all info is helpful to a person

discontinued or still in production
so forth.

i think if we all work together we could get a pretty comprehensive(sp) thread about amps.

The Fender Rhodes Electric Piano / question about sustain in mark 73
« on: October 18, 2005, 04:53:58 PM »
if you strike a key (my definition of this is hitting the key and lifting off) is that note suppose to ring out or die when you take your hand off the key?
i notice my keys have decent sustain when i hold down the key after hitting it but if i let go it stops.... BUT on one key i STRIKE it and the baby rings out till the end of time. maybe i should check the damper?
(i got this piano 2 hours ago.)
anyways thanks for the help

ps its a fender rhodes mark 1 1973 73 key.

« on: May 15, 2005, 10:50:15 PM »
im looking into getting a rhodes for my graduation present. i was wondering how the keys felt... do they feel like real piano keys? or do they feel like keyboad keys? im guessing its a pretty simple question but i havent been able to play one. i just know the sound drives me crazy.
thanks for the help
