Hi, I've been doing a lot of work on my Wurlitzer cosmetically recently, and I'm having an awful time trying to find keyrail felt, the felt between the front of the wurli top and the keys

The only place I've found it is VintageVibe, but they're out of stock it appears
https://www.vintagevibe.com/products/wurlitzer-200-series-key-rail-felt

Does anybody have any leads on somewhere that would have this felt for sale? I'm positive I could buy some sort of non-descript felt strip from a craft store and have it work, but I have no idea what felt specifically I'd need, or how to describe it in order to search for it

On a semi-related note, I once heard about some sort of tolex-style vinyl tape that some restorationists use to make a damaged black strip around the bottom of the Wurlitzer top look better. Anybody ever heard of this?

The Wurlitzer Electric Piano / wurlitzer 206a hiss
March 13, 2014, 10:16:48 PM
Hello folks,

I've got a 206a that has been chopped and has a connection from the amp out pin to a headphone jack on the bottom left. I've had problems with static and such in the past, but it seems like I've ironed this out. However, I have a TON of unmanageable hiss. No hum or anything, just hiss. I'm just going straight into a mixer with this jack...I've tried putting a dummy load on the line and it didn't help. The interesting thing is that as I decrease the wurli's volume, with the volume pot, the hiss gets significantly louder.

Any ideas?

Hello folks, a while ago I acquired a student model with the base removed and all of the student model circuitry has been removed. Right now there is essentially no way for me to get sound out of it...my question is, if I wanted to use it for recording (without an amp...di or preamp then right into my interface) how would I go about doing this? Not sure where to wire the headphone jack to..

Hello all,

I recently picked up a chopped Wurli 206A. The guy who sold it to me said he didn't know how to finish it, and I figured I could figure it out with the help of the internet, or if I can't, I cant take it somewhere to get it worked on.

Anyway, he demo'd it with a guitar amp and it seemed to work, but when I opened it up, I noticed that it has the positive wire of the 1/4" out jack connected directly to pin 16 (I think, I am not at home right now) which is the AMP OUT pin. This doesn't seem quite right to me...any ideas of how to get this in shape to connect to a mixer/recording interface?
