Classic & Modern Fender Rhodes Artists / Herbie on Rhodes 2013!
« on: June 16, 2013, 09:50:50 PM »
From 6:10 on is the best part;)

Everyone who knows where this phrase as come from, gets a free listen at soundcloud ;).

Hope you enjoy.

I have a MK1 1979 Suitcase.
It is very quiet if the effects are not connected via the inserts (except when I play, of course).
When the pedals are connected, a lot of hiss starts. I tried changing to batteries, unplug any charger or light, and the hiss continues, even when the pedals are in bypass mode. The cables are in good condition and are of nice quality.
Any sugestions?

The Fender Rhodes Electric Piano / Maiden Recording of my Clav
« on: April 14, 2012, 09:19:15 AM »
Finally recorded my clavinet. I've been playing with Ableton too, and some VST. Hope you like it.

Hi people,

Since I ain't got a mixer, can I connect both the Rhodes and the Clavinet with a duplicator like the one in the image on the instrument in from the Wah pedal, and back to the suitcase amplifier? (Via accessory jacks)

I already tried it. As long as the Clavinet has some volume, the Rhodes plays, and wah is on both, and vibrato too, but I want to know if this overloads something on the preamp or amp.

The Fender Rhodes Electric Piano / Headhunters Live in NY, 1973, Bootleg

I posted this in the general forum, because I think this concert is historic for the Rhodes Piano, and not everyone knows it. If any moderator thinks that this post isn't correctly placed, please feel free to change it to another subforum.
In this concert, the HeadHunters are in a Trio, without Bill Summers, and even Bennie Maupin only solos sometimes and he doesn't play on heads. Hope you enjoy:

Please tell me what you think about the sound. I'm after "the Herbie sound", and I think I'm close.
I'll give details about the setup later, if you want.

Thanks for looking

1973, spot the differences with the Headhunters.

Nice version of Butterfly (Herbie) by him:
