Don't forget to replace those worn keybushings along with everything else. New bushings make all the difference.

As for your noise, you could also check the felt washers under your keys. If they are hard they could be causing extra noise.

First try to test to see if the pickup itself is working by tapping gently on the end closest to the tine with a screw driver. You should hear a tapping sound come through your amp.
It could also be a bad tine.

Keybushings are something we never recommend someone try to do themselves. Their are so many variables involved from felt selection, proper sizing of the key holes after the old felt is removed, proper depth of new felt, and proper tools for easing after reinstallation to piano. For the most part we do not use easing pliers as it is harder to get consistent results from key to key.
