How did you remove the old straps? Mine are glued in place. I'd like to see if I can dissolve it with alcohol or something.

I bought a 1972 Fender Rhodes. The Damper Rail Center Pin is missing. I'm going to machine one. Can anyone help me verify the dimensions?

I'm looking for:
Pin diameter
Pin length
The # of the screw
Screw length

Many thanks!

I bought a 1972 Fender Rhodes Stage piano that doesn't have a case top. I'm going to CNC a new top for it but I don't know what type of hardware is used for the little compartment in the top. Is it two hinges and a latch of some kind?

Would anyone be able to post a few pics of the inside of their case top?

Many Thanks!

I bought a 72 Fender Rhodes that was missing the case top. The bottom has a few spots where the wood is smashed in so I took a CNC class and am about ready to build a replacement case.

The bottom is going to be pretty easy since I have the bottom I can model it after, but I'm a bit stuck on the top and can't find good photos to see what I'm up against. The top has what looks like a compartment That I imagine could hold cables and such. Is this a hinged opening or is it held in place in a particular way?

Could anyone out there send me some pics or a short video that would show what this compartment is all about?

Also, Is the inner top covered in tolex or felt? or is it painted plywood?

Hi,

Did you end up using peroxide on the keys? I'm wondering if that worked out. I'm considering the same thing.

I know this might be sacrilege but I'm thinking about painting the top. Anyone with experience with this?

Would I be better using something like nitrocellulose lacquer or a polyurethane based paint?

Thanks. Yes. The vintage vibe ones are a good option. I also like them as a company. They've been very helpful to me.

I was more wondering what the suggested specs are. kohms and taper.

I like to tinker and would like to try pots from a few different companies.

I'm seeing mixed information on which ones would work best in a 1972 Stage piano. Can someone advise and let me know where I might be able to buy a set?
