Hi, The Brilliant and Treble tone switches are all working but The Medium and Soft make no difference (there is still some sound when all the tone switches are off). Is it likely to be a faulty capacitor on the preamp or could it be down to the switch needing a clean? It sounds great as is but I'm sure I'm missing on some more tones.
The pick up selectors all works and the wiring is as per diagram and appears to be original, nothing seems to be shorting.
If it needs new capacitors, is there anything i should watch out for apart from the value? I'm in the UK, RS components has millions of cap types..
Thanks for any advice.

The Wurlitzer Electric Piano / fuses OK
January 30, 2008, 03:40:19 PM
I bought a multimeter and have tested the 3 fuses. They are all OK so that's definitely not the problem. Anybody has a suggestion as to what else could be wrong? I've tested the wires from the jack to the pcb and that's fine too. I'm trying to locate where it goes wrong on the pcb but due to my meagre knowledge of electronics I can't figure out if the readings I get are normal.

Other Keyboards & Software Synths / MK1
January 01, 2008, 12:12:26 PM
I have a MK1, the one with the rockers not the push buttons.
I love it but I might considering letting it go as I am not using the vocoder, that makes it a very expensive string machine. It's all fully working.
I know the chances are slim but i'm after a couple of monosynths: Yamaha CS30 and Korg 800DV. If you had one of these we could probably work out a partial exchange. Let me know if you want me to send you some pictures.
Oh and happy 2008!

Sorry for the delay. I'm trying to figure out which of the amp fuses is the aux's but the schematic I have isn't really clear. Is it the left or right one?

Hi. I managed to grab a Wurlitzer 200A in london. It sounds great and the action is still good but it has seen better days. It needs 3 new reeds, a sustain pedal and legs.. On top of that the aux out is only producing hiss so far (and not a particulary pleasant one).
The phone out and speakers are OK so I guess it's not something major and I should be able to handle it by myself. Anybody had a similar issue? Any tips or schematics would be really appreciated.
