wurlis are pretty sick too. I have a 400 (but the 200a is a lot better. 400 kinda sucks)

I don't mind almost any custom color, I guess.  Pink perhaps being an exception, fit for a gay guy's thong, or whorehouse pillows.  But whatever the color, I think matching or complimentary color for harp covers and cheek blocks are mandatory.

Like cars, a two-tone can be pretty killer.  For example:

You can add purple to the "never" column as well.  Just because it really sets off a pimp's hat doesn't mean it works on a Rhodes.  See the below link, as I couldn't grab the jpeg.

I can't believe the guy copyrighted the image.  He should be fined for internet littering.

I find this one looks really nice. Rhodes sounds mellow, so a mellow colour is perfect. MAybe it would be better with a black suitcase then brown though.

don't think that's the same video.

this is a bunch of black dudes makong slow hip hop sounds with a beautiful rhodes and comparing playing it to sex

well I'm more asking if that's an incredibly good deal. the problem is that I don't really have space for it, but 300$ isn't much for that keyboard I think.

I live in a small apartment and I have an acoustic upright, a wurlitzer 700 and a yamaha cp300 already taking up a lot of space.

I also found a Kurzweil PC3 for sale for the same price. Which one dya think I should go for?

r: actually I think it was a Kurzweil SP3x not PC3x. PC3x for that price would be too good to be true.

I actually watched the vid. So its definitely not like an EP then? Just a very bulky digital piano (probably with a more authentic touch than most)?

I'm just wondering how much I should pay for it. And I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with one here.

The Fender Rhodes Electric Piano / Re: what is this EP?

ahhhh I should've been able to recognize that. I played one once and it kinda sucked. It's really nice looking but its not a great EP. They were asking 300$

The Fender Rhodes Electric Piano / what is this EP?

I found this for sale. It looks really cool but I don't even know what the model is. Anyone know anything about it?

What do you guys know about this? IS this an EP or somehting more like a digital piano with hammer action? I found it on kijii for 750$ and I was considering buying a Yamaha CP33 or somehting like that. I just want a digital piano with a nice touch and good piano sound for silent late night practice. Is this a suitable instrument for me? I really like the look of it, but I'm not sure if its really worth it and I haven't tested the touch yet.

Hey I recently bought a Wurlitzer 400 off one of the members here -- which I've had some fun with, although now I'm on summer holidays working in alberta. The Wurli 400 doesn't exactly give me everything I want out of an EP, but it was really cool for the price and I really love the ancient tube amplification. When I get back, I'll still be looking for a fender rhodes though! Anywhere in Alberta before August or in Montreal or the surrounding area anytime after that.

I also have a very nice DJ set up for trade/sale which I'm hoping to put towards the rhodes. It's technics SL-1200 MK3's and a 5 channel mixer and digital vinyl. Not sure if any of you are interested in that sort of stuff, but I just thought I'd mention it

Love it! This instrument is so fucking phenomenal I don't understand how I've played piano all these years and never heard of it.

So I need to play an electric piano and I'm sick of getting kicked out of the music store for jamming on their rhodes too much. I just sold my DJ equipment and a guitar for money and I have a rough budget of 500-1000$ +/- a couple hundred bucks for an exceptionally broken or exceptionally awesome piano. If anyone has anything for sale and is in my area then I am down. I live in Montreal, but I will be  briefly in Winnipeg during the summer and all over alberta and I have friends who can pick it up in lower New York or upper Vermont.

I need to fulfill my craving.
I am primarily looking for a rhodes, a wurli 20 series, or 14- series but I would be down with any electric piano that has mechanical action and makes that cool classic sound. I will accept any condition, but, if I am gonna have to spend a lot of time fixing it, I don't want to pay too high a price.
-thanks :)

The Wurlitzer Electric Piano / Re: Wurlitzer 112A

Damn :( I got outbid. I guess this decides it for me. I'm gonna hold out for a 140/145/200 series wurli or a fender.

Its a 112a, so its rather similar.

I noticed you got yours for free and rebuilt it? Do you think its worth spending 300$ on one of these (granted its in better condition and all keys work, etc)?

I think I'm about to embark on the same crazy journey as you :p

The Wurlitzer Electric Piano / Wurlitzer 112A

Hey I just wanted to know what you guys know about this keyboard? I'm about to spend 300$ on one and I want to know if you guys think its a worthwhile investment? apparently everything works but it needs tuning and a pedal (going to use the vintage vibe one since its a 112a and not a 112, so it IS compatible). Think I should buy it?
