Would this fit an 88 as well ?
Maybe the leg distance is the same between an 88 and a 73, I can't compare :-)

Like I mentioned in this thread : http://ep-forum.com/smf/index.php?topic=9622.msg53140#msg53140
I replaced the entire preamp by a new, low noise one, because these things indeed can be very noisy.

To earth the hammers see here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84rIQC2Ot18

As you can see in the pic of my Pianet in the other post, I did the shielding thing too...

Let me know if replacing the transistor solved the issue, I might do that in the old preamp that's laying around here :-)

Other Keyboards & Software Synths / Re: Pianets - are they usually so noisy?

My Pianet N was extremely noisy, even after amp-rework and additional shielding.
I ended up replacing the preamp by an up-to-date version of it.  (available at Ep Service Holland)

Not sure if it will fit a Pianet L model.

I think you' re talking about a Rhodes pedal  :P

Vintage Vibe's twitter account on January 18th :
We're adding #Rhodes damper combs to our already extensive line of parts! We'll have these combs available very soon

Factory reset ?
Press and hold 'TRACK 1' and 'TRACK 2' during power on.

Rusty tines and pick-ups ... cleaning definitely is step 1 :-)

There's a company, EP service in Holland, selling new preamps for Pianets.
Might worth a try.
By the way, I also added a volume knob since I just don't own a pedal :-)

Never heard of them although I live in Belgium.
Seems like I cannot find anything about it, did you find a webiste or something ?

The Wurlitzer Electric Piano / Re: First Wurlitzer (200)

Like Cinnamon mentioned before : "The time you might spend troubleshooting the amp is probably better spent working at McDonald's on weekends to earn the money for the new amp."

I have put the Retroliner amp in my 200A few years ago and it's absolutely gorgeous !

Those Warneck boards are heaven ! :-)

Someone can tell me where to find Pianet reeds ?

I saw this one :
http://www.ep-service.nl/pianet-t-used-reeds

The thing is, I own a Cembalet (!) and I don't know the reeds for the different kinds of Pianets and Cembalet are interchangeable.

I do have a few Wurlitzer 200 spare reeds, so maybe I can use this ones ?

Thanks a lot !

Parts, Service, Maintenance & Repairs / Re: Broken leg? Or fixable?
« on: April 18, 2015, 06:33:26 AM »
I fixed it with Epoxy 2K glue (you have to mix these 2 things yourself) and it will never fall apart again.
No need to buy a whole new leg ...

Picture or it didn't happen  ;)

Let's give this a 2015 kick :-)

24
RetroLinear ...  ofcourse !

My heroes since they sent me their Wurly amp a year ago  :)

25
Maybe cheaper and less trouble just buying a new knob at VV ?

Parts, Service, Maintenance & Repairs / Wurly Key weight mod
« on: December 30, 2014, 12:58:49 PM »
Someone's familiar with this kind of modification ?

From the seller's page :
"This is a mod we do on every Wurlitzer,This will give your keys a better piano feel, solves small errors in the mechanics and you will have much better control on the dynamics."

Never seen it before, might worth the try ... :)

I ordered the single damper arms and drilled new holes.
Didn't want to wait forever ...
