Does anyone have a service manual or schematic for a Kawai EP-308M?  I've had mine for about 25 years, but the MIDI recently stopped working, and I'd like to see if I can fix it.

Thanks for the recommendation, Alan.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to fix or replace the end blocks on a Duo?  I'm not sure if "end blocks" is the right term...I'm talking about the outermost ends of the keyboard.  They appear to be wooden wrapped in some dense foam or rubber padding and covered in tolex.  A couple of the corners on mine are pretty banged up, and they are crumbling bits of material everywhere.  They seem otherwise solid and functional, but I don't want them to continue to crumble.

That's a good point, steveo.  Thanks.

I'll just leave it, since they are working.

I've just started my first rework of a Hohner duo, and have a pile of questions.  I'll start with a set of questions regarding lubrication of the clav tuning gears.

While taking all of the old strings off of my duo, I noticed that several of the tuning gears are a bit stiff.  All of the gears turn, and I don't think anything is going to break, it's just a little annoying that part of the rotation is stiff for some of the gears.

Is it possible to lube these gears from the top or front (without removing the harp)?  Maybe some silicone spray could work down into the gear from the top?

If not, how hard is it to remove the harp?

Or should I just leave it alone?
