it looks ok, you just need to put the hammers back, they should clip back in. you need to level the keys with paper pushings from vintage vibe, and maybe new hammer tips. wouldnt cost more then $200 to sort it out. you can take all the keys out and out them back in straight. the early mark ones are better as well.

also, ive read recently on here that chick and herbie were given pre-production models to test, for example the midi mark v and the mk v 88. maybe chick was given this by rhodes to test out and he never used it as he wasn't that into it?

its doesn't mention plastic keys or show a picture of the keybed. some mark 2s had wooden keys........

i tried it a few years ago, it was really good, but i wasn't blown away by it. its a bit to big for gigging, and as a home keyboard you could probably get a baby grand for less. try the nord piano, they sound great in stereo.....

vv sell used ones for about $40, i bought one off ebay used for £80, i paid £450 for my Rhodes and when its complete i will have spent about £400 on it so £850 all together, definitely worth it tho when you can spend up to £1500 in the UK for one in good condition - at least i'm spreading out the cost!

you could split the signal with a y cable and send them two a guitar amp and a bass amp. and eq out the other frequencies maybe, that would be a lot easier then splitting you harp.

The Fender Rhodes Electric Piano / custom miracle mod amazing !!
« on: June 01, 2012, 06:06:26 PM »
hi, i just installed a custom version of the miracle mod, by adding bumps

it feels really light compared to how it was. there is little hammer bounce now. whats more amazing is it took me about an hour. i  highly recomend this mod to anyone with the same action - mine is a '77 with plastic hammers with felt on the bottom, i left the felt on the bottom of the hammers, and put the bump on the edge of the pedalstal, it plays amazing now, it also reduced the key bounce.

next i am going to replace the grommets, and maybe extend the 2nd to top tip range down to middle C!!!!!

how much would it cost if you provided the tolex? i can get it for free, but it isn't proper fender tolex, but it should do the job.
