Electronic Edge is no longer operating and there are a LOT of Rhodes and Clavinet parts available. For inventory and prices email Peter@elecedge.com.

And it may have been a Rhodes case with a digital keyboard inside. The pedal certainly was not for a Rhodes.

It was interesting to see a MK II Stage 73 during the Superbowl. 4 front legs and no braces.

I've got 2 in Ohio.

I have one of these in a room full of otherwise E-Waste that will be properly recycled. Don't know if it works and assume it hasn't been plugged in to AC for at least 16 years or more. Free to whoever wants to pick it up. I'm guessing someone knows what this is and wants one.
Drop me a note at Peter@elecedge.com if interested.

2 pin or 3?

I have a few spares. You're welcome to one. Drop me a note at peter@elecedge.com

That is not the damper rail your piano left the factory with.

Well, I didn't get an answer on the sticker. I'm guessing it was from a tour. The back of the album is what puts it in a shrine in my shop.

Sending this out to the brain trust.
This copy of Thrust has a sticker on it that I'm sure did not come with the record. Any idea what this sticker was? I'm guessing 70's.

I have some. Drop me a line.

Move the string.

I do.

So, who knows anything about this?

Many years ago I needed some. I googled the part number on the part and found that they were originally made for the boating industry for tie downs (or something). I then found a marine parts supplier who had them. Wish I had better info, but it might get you heading in the right direction.

A Google search brings up much, including this:

Anybody got a source for this little male snap for the lid compartment strap. Just looking for the male snap, I got plenty of straps.

Here's a link to the interview Alan did with WYSO Radio's The Book Nook. Full disclosure - my day job is at WYSO.

I know of one in S. W. Ohio. Drop me an email offline and I'd be happy to put you in touch with the owner.

Update on this one. Truly a Frankenrhodes. Check the dampers.

I've got a couple. Drop me a line off list and we can talk.

peter@elecedge.com

I've got a complete one in the shop. Drop me an email and I'll send a photo.

2 of the photos appear to have been lifted from Vintage Vibe's site and the others are a completely different vintage.

What's wrong with these pictures?

Yes.

Just got this and was happy to see the signature on the harp.

Sweet!

Thanks and thanks. But, I have to fess up. My dear wife (and boss) Mary Sue Campbell, with her background in graphic design, scanned and created the .pdf of the Clavinet logo.

Anyone try this pedal with a Rhodes?

Sold.

I have a Korg Poly Ensemble S in need of a home. Needs some work. Contact me off list if interested.

Just got this link from a friend. What's the strangest thing you've found inside a vintage keyboard?

Send them to Mike Kurta who has done many keytop replacements for me.

I had heard a couple of players talking about car gaskets being used for hammer tips on Clavinets back in the day, but until now, I had never seen it. Now I have....

Yes, I gots.

Drop me a note offline and we'll get this going tomorrow.

peter@elecedge.com

Yikes.

I'll be back in the shop later this afternoon and report back.

I believe I have a set. 73 or 88?

peter@elecedge.com

Looking for one in good shape. Anyone have one to sell?

peter@elecedge.com

I have always used 3 pieces for the lower section. Bear in mind that the Marshall levant will be thicker than the original covering on the D6.

Tim,
I have a scan of the D6 logo (in pdf format) that you can have a vinyl sticker made from. Drop me a line offline and I'll get it out later today.

I've been using the 490-ST for years and am very happy with it.

Seems to me that acoustic pianos are fetching negative selling prices these days. That is, you've got to pay people to take them away.

This is sad.

I don't think this is limited to Rhodes. I go to a lot of estate sales and garage sales where truly crappy LPs have a really high price. I've asked several sellers who tell me that one just like this is for sale on Ebay right now for $XXXX. I think the general public uses Ebay current asking prices (not completed sales) for what they are trying to sell, no matter what it a like item actually sells for.

I think this is what you're looking for.

Here's a detail loaded piece on this subject.

This was a preamp made and sold by Major Key. Not sure if they are still in business. All links at MajorKey.Com are dead.

Get a Vintage Vibe Stereo Vibe.

Cool. Thanks.

I've got a Speakeasy Vintage Tube preamp with it's version of the Dyno filter for sale. Let me know if you have any interest.
