There has been a lot of disappointment in renting vintage instruments over the years, and I've had a lot of word of mouth requests to rent restored pianos.  So, after incredible amounts of work and preparation I wanted to announce my official launch of Retro Rentals - a company focused on renting only high quality vintage keyboards.

I wanted a player to be able to choose from a wide array of models.  This is all restored and top-quality gear, so I'd love you to check out the site and follow posts on where the keyboards are being used.  Thanks to everyone for their support and looking forward to the music to come.

Fantastic!  A lot of love -- and hard work -- must have gone into some of those restorations.

Good luck with your new venture!

Amazing collection of instruments you have there!
It is very entertaining just to browse through your site. Your customers are/will be very lucky to have access to the variety and quality of instruments you have available.
Best wishes on your new business venture!

Ben Bove

Thanks for the support.  Steveo, no rush but at some point sure - would love a trace of the stand.  It's hard that they're not detachable like 200s though and more susceptible to breakage.

Mike - the Retrolinear amp on the custom blue wurly is phenomenal.  People go nuts over it.

The stand for the 700 looks different from the stock 120 stand, but I believe they are the same size.

That's pretty exciting. Nice to see that  the quality of your rental gear is attracting high-level business.

So, just wondering:  On his recent tour, I saw photos of Stevie with a Clavinet D6 and a VV Tine Piano.  What's his rig on the show?

In the photo under the Lady Gaga linked above it looks like he has a VV electric piano with a VV Vibanet on top. Most cool.

Very cool show. It's great to see these keyboards coming back into the limelight. Probably a lot of people asking what the hell Stevie was playing. Go VV!

Was an amazing show and thanks.  Stevie was on VVEP and Vibanet as mentioned above, Greg Phillinganes musical director was on Vibanet as well.  The backing keyboardists either had a real Hammond or Clav, but also mixed in Nord and other synths to cover the rest.

Stevie's Keyboard sound was really low to me? But his set-up was amazing!
