Current 2019 value for a 270 baby grand

I was offered a decent one in fair condition, with a good price I think, but I already have too many pianos so I will only take this one if its a hell of a good deal. I already have a 200A which I love.

So, what price would you expect in current market value? In Europe this things are usually more expensive than overseas in the USA.

I have no idea- condition is everything. I paid around $700-$750 for mine. Are you saying you are in Europe?

There's one currently listed on eBay UK. Asking £5000 = $6500.

May I understand $800 is a good deal for European market? Maybe they're crazy and it would never sell for such amount or anything close.

I think anything below$1200 would be a good deal these days. I would never pay $6500 for any Wurlitzers

UPDATE:

They sent a video, they had said piano worked but truth is the amp doesn't, not much info, they say they don't know. And a leg is broken also. General shape is OK but definitely not a beauty queen. Could be a fuse, a blown up amp, or even there's no amp at all inside. I wonder how they ended up with such piano in Europe, they're not even musicians.

So they asked for 400€ ($450). Do you think its still a good deal?

I offered 300€ because this is 650 miles from home, they said they have another guy offering 400€ but they willing to sell to whoever comes first. I can wait for him not to show up, but who knows...

Omg, yes that is a good deal, even if you have to buy a replacement amp. Just remember this model is not light- at least 150 lbs. not recommended for gigging!

For what it's worth, I sold a mint condition 270 for $1200 a couple years ago.  Probably could have gotten more for it, but sold it to a friend.

The thing about those is that they are SO big.  Functionally, there is NO reason for them to take up so much space--it's just a nice piece of furniture.  (I guess maybe the huge speakers?)  I live in New York City where floor space is everything, and people live in shoe box sized apartments, so they'd be a liability around here.  Your mileage may well vary.

Personally, if I were gonna try to find a non-portable that "looked really nice", and maybe had some of the bass response of a 270, I'd try to find a post-recall 720A, a 720B, or a 726(B). 

If I wasn't obsessed with having a wood-bodied Wurly, I'd get one of the 4-speaker consoles: a 214A, maybe, or a 203W.

I guess my point is... I wonder if the size is enough of a liability that it would make these worth less than a smaller and/or more portable model. On the other hand, there's the rarity. 

It's pretty much whatever the market will bear.
