Doing re-cap and confused on C26

Hi all, I'm undergoing the VV recap (actually the full amp re-build kit), and I'm looking at the board and seeing that C26 has a resistor (looking at the schematic, it looks to be R59) soldered directly to the top of the resistor? How do I deal with that?

My assumption is that because the VV cap has both leads on bottom, and the original cap has axial leads, I'm just going to solder the resistor to the negative lead on the bottom and it will just take up a funkier space on the board because of the way the leads will have to bend to fit?

Just want to be sure.

What model are you working on? I'm still relatively new to this, but I'm scanning through 200-series schematics and can't seem to find a C26 anywhere.

Late-model 200A. I should have included the portion of the schematic too, I've attached that now.

That certainly is a weird component geometry.
Perhaps someone forgot to include the resistor in the board layout and it was too late to remake it?
What they appear to have done is use a capacitor with axial leads and add the resistor in series with it to use the holes provided for a capacitor with radial leads.
You can use a radial lead capacitor to replace this daisy chain of parts but it may be advisable to sleeve the various leads with heatshrink tube to avoid shorts.
