Hi all,

I've heard two opposite pieces of information about the impedance of the Janus FR7710 amp.

This post https://ep-forum.com/smf/index.php?topic=6862.0 says the amp is 16 ohms per channel, so using two 32-ohms in parallel or two 8-ohms in series are the speaker wiring options.

However, this post https://ep-forum.com/smf/index.php?topic=7918.5 says "The Janus/Haigler amplifiers expect to see a 4 ohm load to deliver their full power." So two 8ohms in parallel for each channel.

Any confirmation on either of these two contradicting pieces of info? I'm having difficulty finding any other sources for this.

Hi .-)

Janus / Haigler (5-Pin XLR connector cabinet): 4 Ohms (2x 8 ohms parallel) per channel

Peterson (4-Pin DIN / or Chinch-Jones connector cabinet): 16 Ohms (2x 32 ohms parallel or 2x 8 ohms in series) per channel
