removing the "seventy three" badge. Rhodes Mk 1

Hello all

How do I remove, and re-fit, the "Seventy Three" badge from my Rhodes mk1 1979 without damaging it?   At some point in its history someone spray-painted it black and I want to restore it to a nice silver.

You should be able to clean it up pretty good with the badge still mounted. Just use some Paint Thinner on a Q tip and Mineral Spirits on a cloth and give is a good rub. Otherwise you should be able to remove the badge with relatively no issues if you're careful.
