With a lolly stick, I noticed the space between the key front and tolex differs in the central part of the keyboard. The first 12 white keys of the extreme low and high keys are not as narrow.
Just an observation. I wondered why. Perhaps extra tolex or glue or something mechanical. Any thoughts?

Or could this indicate that there are keydip issues to be investigated? Yes, the keydip is extended on low and high keys.

Hi .-)

Due to dry-out, the wood of the case will bend towards the keys. This is more likely in the middle.

Thank you, Jenzz. I'm enjoying examining every part of my new Mk1 '79 73 stage rhodes and understanding its state and purpose, however insignificant.
