How can I eliminate Amplifier Hum/noise?

Ben Bove

what type of hum is it. static-like or like a fluorescent light hum.  Also is a rhodes suitcase or another amplifier.

It's actual amplifier hum and one side of my speaker cabinet doen't work. This is most noticable when I switch the tremolo on.

either way sounds like you have to unscrew the amp from the cabinet and see what's disconnected.  Probably one channel isn't plugged into the amp or a wire came off a speaker.  it could then be shorting onto something, thus the hum.  Solve the speaker you might solve the hum.
