Hello.

I've just bought some Protek CLP and would like to know how to apply it safely.

1.Do I remove the green felts before applying? Same with balance rail felts?
2.Do I need to let the pins dry a bit before reintroducing the felts?
3.Would Protek CLP help to make my sustain pedal easier if I'd lube the damper pins?
Thanks!

Martin

Thank you Steveo.
The Protek REALLY helped my action! Way smoother and easier.

Is it simply the case of injecting the clp into the bushings or against the pins?

It's best to remove each key, one at a time. I use q tips to wipe it onto the pins if they are a little dirty. I don't put it directly onto the felt bushings unless they are squeaking, and even then, you don't want to add too much.

If pins are clean and it just needs lubing, use a pipette. Just a drop should do in most cases.
