Hello,

Does anyone know whether putting my Hammond XB2 (30lbs) on top of my Stage 73 will be overstressing the legs?

Any feedback would be most appreciated-- thanks!

Ben Bove

it should be fine, you have cross braces yes?

I dont think so, i put a 30-40pound yamaha electone over my no brace rhodes, and theres no problems at all, i see many rhodes with a lot of hardware on it !

I do have the cross braces, but how are they supposed to fit on?  I can see from pictures how they attach to the legs, but where do they attach to the piano?

Thanks!

There is a black nob on the underside of the piano that unscrews.  Hook one end of the braces up there, then tighten the nob back up.  The other end hooks up to the back legs.
You can't hold no groove, if you ain't got no pocket.

If you don't have a knob (located in the center of your piano on the bottom), you can get one from Speakeasy or Majorkey.

No prob, I´m using the same combination sometimes. My Roland RD-150 is a bit too heavy (22,5kg)
Tuning instruments makes the band sound thin!

I've got a Roland VK-8 on top. But I use a QuikLok double X stand (max weight 120kg) -- far more sturdy than those fiddly legs!
