Hello all! I'm in the middle of restoring a 111 that came to me disassembled and missing parts. It has no hum shield. I recapped the amp and changed out-of-spec components so it's quiet - until the reed bar is plugged in. The hum is outrageous!

I've searched the internet for pics of 110 and 111 reed bars and there are few. I'm looking for more info so I can have something fabricated.

Questions:
- How does the shield mount? I don't see any extra holes in the reed bar. Are there screws involved?
- Does the shield need to be tied to ground?
- This model has a wood top and no black shielding paint inside the cavity. Should I consider adding paint?

Thanks for your help!

These early models have a metal top which serves as the hum shield. The separate shield started with later models.
