Hi,

I did a search. Found related topics, but nothing that I recognized as my issue.

I have a 1979 suitcase Rhodes. When I depress the sustain pedal it tines ring out pretty loudly, mostly toward the bass end. It appears to me, someone who knows nearly nothing about the mechanics of these things, that the damper, when at rest, is pushing up too hard on the tines (mostly on the bass side) so when you press the pedal, the tines make an audible sound. It seems that something needs an adjustment. Anyone familiar with this issue? Thank you!
