Hello dear community,

before i introduce myself and my piano I wanted to do a small quiz for you.
You often hear about how the different years and models sound unique. So I was wondering if you could tell which model my piano is and roughly when it was built.
I've recorded it trough a mixer and left the audio completely clean without any EQ or compressor.

Here's the link for the audio clip I made

Hope you have fun guessing the year!

Post 75, but pre 78? (I'm far from an expert)

Sounds lovely :)

I could be way off listening through tiny speakers on my iPad, but I think it's an early model with felt hammers. Circa 1970/71?
1960 Wurlitzer model 700 EP
1968 Gibson G101 Combo organ
1975 Rhodes Piano Bass
1979 Wurlitzer 206A EP
2009 73A Rhodes Mark 7
2009 Korg SV-1 73
2017 Yamaha P255
2020 Kawai CA99
....and a few guitars...

As an absolute amateur in this world, my guess is a 73/74 with square hammer tips. Enough barky character to be and older mk1 but it has some chime/bell on top that makes me think it's not a felt tip.

Well, it's rather complicated.

The piano itself is a suitcase model with the janus preamp built in 1977, while the harp is from 1979. I've had the suspicion that the tines don't match the harp because they rather look like Torringtons than Schallers and they don't sound like I'm used to hearing late MK1s and MK2s. I asked the former owner if he'd swapped the tines and he told me the tines were out of an 1975 piano. So i've got the ultimate Frankenstein Rhodes. I really enjoy having the combination of the Torringtons and the late pickups which i think have a bit more bite than mid 1970s. I did end up having to rewind more than 25 pickups and repairing the preamp but i've bought this rhodes sight unseen for a bargain  so that was expactable.
The piano received a complete overhaul and I'm still tinkering to get the best sound out of it. In the audio I played it rather soft but it has a pretty good amount of bark.

Thanks for the guesses and I take it as a compliment that some of you thought it was an early model :) !
In the future I'll make a post where I explain my piano in detail.
