Hey everyone.  Great site.  Glad to finally be able to  talk to some real enthusiasts.  Anyway, I just got a 1973 Mark I, 88 Key Fender Rhodes stage piano.  It's awesome except that the F above Middle C, plays like it's the F an octave above it.  I guess of all of the problems that there could have been it's not horrible, but it's getting to be really annoying.  If anyone knows of anything that might fix the problem I would greatly appreciate it.  TIA,

Aaron

check the tonebar screws. My neighbor had the same problem. One key was an octave too high. After readjusting the tonebar it was solved. Don't ask me why. Weird thing.
Good luck

Hi Aaron.
Remove the top cover. And take a look at that brilliant view.  (I love it )
The tonebars are on top of the mechanic. There are mounted on the wooden Tone Bar Assembly  with 2 srews. These 2 screws are just above the keyboards. You should easily reach them.

Look here:

What we did, as we had the same problem as you, we just escalate both srews back and forth. And the problem was solved.
Don't ask me why, I am new to mechanical things on the rhodes too.
I hopes that helps.
