re-wrapping pickups

is it possible to re-wrap a pickup?? I've got 7 in my oldest unit that are "bald".  Anyone ever try this??

Hi,
Yep it's possible, I used to have a Stage 54 and the pick-ups went alot... so my techy used to swap the knackered one for a working one and keep the old one and get a guitar techy to re-coiler the bugger... dont ask me how though!!!
