I just bought a Mark I Eighty Eight
« on: August 18, 2004, 08:28:43 PM »
Hey all,
I just bought a Mark I 88 stage pioan today. It is in great shape and sounds incredible.  As I love the Rhodes culture I do not know much about them.  Is there a way to find out when this was made? Should this have the amp that goes with it? I picked it up at my local music store for 450.00 I thought it was a steal.  Can someone please let me know if this is accurate?

Thanks,
Soulcactus

Hi
take a look at http://www.fenderrhodes.com/cgi-bin/faq-display?id=7
You will get all the information you need in order to determine your rhodes' age.
@ price: I life in Germany, rhodes are seldom and mostly sold on ebay with ridiculous high prices. If everything's working and no accessory is missing I would consider it a good deal (here in Germany). But I don't know Amarican prices.
