Black Capricorn Day sound

You know the Black Capricorn Day song ? ( Jamiroquai ). I'm interested how to achieve that Rhodes sound - you can hear it clearly on the beggining of the song. It sounds like some kind of overdrive...but I'm not sure which one. Perhaps a fuzz or overdrive pedal?

Yes, it's a Wurly and I think, I read in an interview, that it's sent through a tube amp for the distortion and then miced.

Best regards

p.s.: great song!

Yes, I was also thinking it might be wurly, but the distorted sound made me think it might be a Rhodes, but distorted to a point where it just resembles a wurly. Well, I think I'll get the Rhodes to distort somehow, and it will be close enough :D

Yeah, it is. I'm a big fan of Jamiroquai ( mostly of their earlier stuff )
