two problems...

I just recently got an old suitcase 73  and there are two problems with it. first one of the tines (#25) broke off. second I cant adjust the volume, bass, treb, or vibrato. I turn the knobs and pull out on the right ones but nothing happnes. it plays and i get a bit of sound out of it but i cant adjust anything. any idea how to deal with these problems?

You can get replacement tines from Major Key or one of their resellers (CAE Sound and Speakeasy Vintage Music are the big ones in the US). So does this Suitcase have the original amp and 4- or 5-pin cable that came with it, or are you using it with something else?

we are using the orig. silver cab with the 5 pin imputs except we dont have the 5 piv cord....we are using a 1/4 in. cord.

You need the 5-pin cable in order to power the Volume, Treble/Bass EQ and Vibrato controls.  If you use the 1/4" output on the front panel instead, you need to run it to a preamp in order to get a line-level signal out of it.  Does the piano's control panel have all knobs, or are there sliders?  (I'm just trying to verify that the amp cabinet and the piano top are a matched set...)

The organ has knobs w/ pull out knobs and stuff for the vibrato and treb/bass.

OK, then it sounds like the piano and amp are matched...do they both have 5-pin DIN jacks?
