Hey all.  This is my first post here.  Seems like a really cool site.  Anyway I would like to replace the platic keys in my Mark II with the wood keys.  Will the wood keys fit in the Mark II?  Any idea how much a new set of keys costs?  Any help would be much appreciated.

I think there's a set of wooden keys on ebay right now.

...although I should add that replacing your keys with wooden ones will not work unless you are capable of doing some serious work to your piano.  A simple swap is not possible.

You'd be better of selling it and buying an earlier model if you are unhappy with the feel of your mark II.

Andy is correct. Swapping to wood keys is a bad idea. It's a huge job which will mean rebuilding the entire insides of your rhodes.

The plastic keys can have a perfectly good feel if they are set up properly. The main drawbacks with them are the rattling key bushings (due to the lack of felt), and breakable guide pins. I have a 1983 mk2 which plays really nice.
