Just a post out of curiousity here - i was not aware of any key mod done by dyno (but i don't know much!) , I take it this must be a backcheck mod

dyno mod on keys

The mod in the picture is a back check mod known and used by any real piano technician.  It is not a "Dyno Mod" it is a piano mod for bouncy action. The pedestal mod is the same principal used by Vintage Vibe in our Miracle Mod. In the picture they used a piece of tine cut to 3/8 of an inch. It is supposed to reflect the original Fender Rhodes Pedestal Mod.  It looks poorly done. We sell this mod to anyone who needs better action. Best, Chris

Speaking of keys, are the keys from any Mark I or II compatible with the Mark V?

I am just curious if there were design changes (other than wood-to-plastic-to-wood again) in the length or shape of the keys between the earlier and later models.

The keybed is designed differently.
I own a Mark 1 and a Mark V and the keys are NOT interchange-able.
I cannot speak for the Mark II though.

Here is a neat webpage that talks about adding midi and backchecks to a rhodes piano:

Ya, I wonder if the added weight of the backchecks affects the feel at all?
