Hello everyone!

I have been using an old drum stool at gigs, until the other night when it snapped!!  And so i am in the process of looking for another stool...

I want an old-school looking stool or something that might have been a typical stool to use with the rhodes (if there is such a thing).

Any ideas on what look i should be going after??

Or perhaps you could all just let me know what kind of stool you usually use....

Thanks heaps!!

it seems that far more thought is put into drum "thrones" than keyboard stools, so i got (actually it was a present from my girlfriend) a nice drum stool that is far more comfy than the previous crappy fold up piano stool.
every good player  in melbourne that i've seen has gone the drum throne.

The best thrones I've ever had the oppurtunity to grace upon my bottom have been made my Roc n Soc. BIG seats and a comfy backrest. Both my Rhodes and drumset have them in the studio.

A bit pricy, but most sitting musicians will agree that you should put your money where your ass is.
If you want to know where to find the booze, ask the engineer...

I second the Roc n Soc Throne.  Thats what I use.  It's built well, and feel nice on the ol cheeks
