This piano would probably have caught my attention if I hadn't got my mark I already.

Well, in fact it did : what do you think ?
It looks like it needs heavy work, but mark V are hard to get.

And yes, that thing looks horribly overpriced given its condition (aside from the obscene amount of rust, apparently the wiring doesn't even work so it has no sound)

It's sad for sure.  Even if you had a cheap Mk2 to gut and use the harp from, the moisture probably ruined the keys and the thing smells like hell.  Sad on such a rare rhodes.

Not sound can be also a symptom of broken pickups

Not necessarily. A few broken pickups might silence the whole thing. In  conditions of many dampness (and of course, many years) it is possible to break the end of the pickup's coil. In similar conditions (many dampness), I found 12 pickups broken in my Stage.

The abuse these instruments have to go through

Is this only happening with Rhodes' or are Wurly's, Hohner's and Hammonds subject to the same abuse ?

more often than not no sound on a moisture ruined piano is from a corroded or bad contact in the RCA cable.  Usually unless the pickups have been messed around with they maintain a circuit even if they're dead or not.
