Thank you Polyvox! Nice sound of the Doors and looks absolutely stunning.
Do the piano basses sound different comparing to 73-pianos in general? It may be so due to overall smaller number of pickups. Day ago I was experimenting with my Mark I and obtained some basses similar to the Doors.

By the way does your nick have something to do with the synth Polyvoks made in Russia?

Hi Orion
there's no signifiant sounding difference between a piano bass and a 73 (of the same generation of course) , a pbass black is close to a mk1 , the only difference is due to a different tone correction ( tone knob) .
The sound of the old pre CBS models is different  , because the mechanic
is not the same , different hamers , tines, resonators , pickups but as you can hear it's always a rhodes sound !
This one is less barking than the 70's sparkle one , more mellow and fat ,
of course the mp3 format don't provide the whole sound .

Yes my pseudo Polyvoks is a tribute to the russian Polivoks

Some nice perfomances on the later silver top bass:

This funny, the man who plays the bass and Vox Continental even looks like Ray Manzarek   :D

Really really glad to hear that! Being russian myself I played the synth on the school party after finishing school so Polyvoks is of special meaning to me. Generally russian synths are not as great as Moog, Odyssey or other greats but still they have some soul and character on their own.
