Dear all,

Do you know where I could find replacement knobs for a Mk 1 suitcase preamp?
Two of them (tone and trem) are coaxial, one (vol) is not.
I do not need original ones, only replacement which fit the Mk1 suitcase preamp pot stems. Any idea?

Thanx in advance

Phil

a much discussed topic, these knobs are literally impossible to find.  I forget if anyone offered a suggestion on non-original replacements, I would search the forums for "concentric knob" or more specific and try to see what comes up... but you'd have better luck buying a preamp with knobs on ebay and selling it back without any.

Both Vintagevibe and Speakeasy sell reproduction concentric knobs, but they cost an absolute fortune. As suggested, I would just buy new concentric knobs sold for guitar use. Warmouth sell some in a couple of styles, designed to fit CTS pots - I'm pretty sure these will be the right size for you.

Nice one Mark II. I missed that original thread.

Could you describe how you did the mod to add a swtich to make the tremolo mono? I'd quite like to do this to my own preamp.
