Transporting a Student Model

Would it be OK to lay a student model on its back in the bed of a truck (obviously well protected with foam/bubble wrap/blankets etc)? it will be transported about 40 miles (mostly freeway).

Or would it be better to transport it in a van standing upright?

I don't think it matters as long as you put some soft wadding inside to stop the keys and hammers bouncing around. Probably best to lie it down so that it can't fall over.
