Hi. Maybe this is a bit offtopic in here? Anyway I would like to discuss about the alternative use of those all electronic pianos and keyboards.

And by meaning alternative use, for example after Steve Wonder, everyone used clavinet as typical "funky instrument" and no-one didn't search another ways to use it. But this one;

Be noted that this song was made in 1970 (although the soundtrack album was only released in 1973), and just listen how amazing music Vangelis made... only using Hohner Clavinet, Hammond B3 and Fender Rhodes!

Anyway about Clavinet, I am not familiar with it's mechanic but I know it's general sound. Listen the song... just listen how gorgeous sound clavinet can produce...  what you are thinking about that song and it's way to use Clavinet and Hammond? Honestly I can say that IMHO Hammond sound is... umm... ugly   :(    but then, this song is indeed very beautiful. I am wondering about this Clavinet, because i tried to make similar higher pitched sounds from Nord Electro preset but it didn't sound anywhere similar as in this song...  :?

I am not sure does clavinet have even proper velocity and sustain? Is it piano or guitar like... meaning hammer hitted or "picked" like harpsichord?
"Music, for me, is not just about notes. It is about everything. Music exists before we exist. It is the shaper of the universe. It is the universe itself. It is the primary vibration, the first thing that moves everything else. Everybody understands the language of music, whether they are composer or not... it is part of us. It is deep in our memory.

I compose spontaneously. I try to capture the music without the influence of reasoning or the possibility of alteration. The only way to achieve this is not to think. Thought is a tool of analysis. It cannot be a tool of creation. ... When the music comes raw like this, it is closer to the truth of the moment." -- Vangelis
