Hi.
My 1977 Stage 73 has some ugly keys, with cracks and some small pieces missing at the tip. A restoration kit is available at Vintage Vibe. Has any of you
guys on this forum any experience with this kit?

Thanks,

It looks like the correct set - just check the dimensions against the Vintage Vibe ones.  Your keys should be bare-wood sides like this set shows.

1976 and 1977 are the worst for white key cracking.  I haven't had any experience with this particular set but if they give you a beginners guide to install I'm sure it will make it look much better.

HI,

I bought a set. You'll need some clamps to clamp the key caps on for a couple hours. The number of clamps you have determines how many you can do a once. There will be a considerable amount of filing to bring the caps down to size so that they match up perfectly with the wooden keys. You will file after the glue up and the precision achieved in filing  will determine the quality of the job.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Looks like I'll have something to do in my spare time trough the winter..

Thanks again,
