Hi guys, I want to buy a fender rhodes 1976  mark 1.  However it has a broken tine in the third octave of E. Can this be repaired? Is a tine something I can buy and fix myself or do I need like a piano technician to do it for me? How much would it cost?

The piano is for sale for 500$ but also has a broken vibrato, is that something that can be repaired or replaced also?

thanks a lot!

Tine is something you can buy on ebay and replace yourself.

Vibrato is electronics-based so you can possibly do it with beginner's electronics experience and us to help, but probably best left to a repairman.

Ok, thanks alot! I think I'm gonna buy it. I priced the tine on vintagevibe and it was only 24$ plus shipping which is not that bad (I think).

You can sometimes locate them for cheaper possibly on ebay, though you may have to buy a small group of them together.  try musicpartsguru.com as well.
