Need a tech in Chicago...

I have a 1981 Mark II suitcase and I need some electrical repair.

I originally was having problems with the vibrato setting; it was influencing the sound when disengaged (it would "fuzz" the clean sound in rhythm with the vibrato speed that the knob was set to).  The problem has gotten progressively worse and now the sound is no longer clear in either setting...it's distorting.

I have had great difficulty locating a technician in the Chicagoland, IL area.  I find it hard to believe that there is no one out here that can service these things.  If anyone is or knows somebody who can help, please let me know!!  I've kind of hit a dead end!!  I am reluctant to ship it and I would like to avoid driving hundreds of miles (with gas as expensive as it is).
